Use of Parameters

• Parameters to be used in rules are defined once.

• These defined parameters can be reused across multiple rules.

All parameters are listed on the page.

The parameter definition screen opens via the button.

Parameter Definition Properties

When defining a parameter, the following information is specified:

• Code

• Name

• Data Type

• Control Type

• Data Template

The parameter is saved by clicking the button.

When the Data Template is set to “Select from List”, the parameter definition is completed by selecting from the list of defined data sources.

The Control Type determines how the data will be compared. However, this field can be modified during rule definition.
